Presenter will be Leland Wassmuth from the Idaho State Tax Commission. Leland Wassmuth is a Tax Audit Manager with 37 years of experience in auditing and managing auditors for sales and withholding tax for the Idaho State Tax Commission. Lee’s current role is managing comprehensive sales tax auditors in Coeur d Alene, Lewiston, and Boise, and he also manages the Contract Desk for the Idaho State Tax Commission. Prior to working for the Tax Commission, Lee had experience working in agriculture, logging, and lumber and paper goods manufacturing. He has degrees in Industrial Management Technology from Lewis Clark State College and in Accounting from the University of Idaho.

Lee regularly gives presentations about Idaho sales and use tax to contractors, school districts, various industry groups, and to state and local governments in Idaho. He has extensive experience in applying Idaho sales and use tax to contractors, production companies, pollution control companies, and contractors installing or modifying wastewater and drinking systems in Idaho.
